My Life Since July

Hi everyone!

This is basically another one of those life updates, I just didn't want to call it that! As you may or may not have noticed, I disappeared again for a while and I'm trying to get on top of my blogging again. I'm not actually sure how much has happened in my life since the last update but I'll just type away and see where it leads us.

I turned 19 at the end of June, and had a super lovely day! I was going to do a haul post and whatnot, but that is wayyy to far gone now so I think we'll just do a Christmas one this year instead. Rather than doing the usual cake thing, I went out for high tea with my Mum, sister, and close family friend which made for a super great afternoon. The place we went to was called Aimee Provence in Buderim and I can say nothing but good things about it! The staff were all very lovely, the food tasted amazing, the tableware (what's the word?? I'm talking about the cups and cutlery and things) were all gorgeous, so thank you for a lovely Birthday Aimee Provence!

I didn't do too much on my holidays - but I did have my first clubbing experience! For anyone that knows me, I don't drink a whole lot and I really don't like the whole noisy and crowded scene but I did it, and it wasn't too bad. I was pretty proud of myself for going tbh, but it was with some of my closest friends and I knew I had nothing to worry about.

After that, it's been pretty much nothing but uni, uni, uni and work, work work! I have been trying to sort out photos though and put them into pretty albums but that's been quite a mission and I'm not even finished yet. Finding the actual photo albums was super difficult too because so many are outrageously expensive, but I've found some really lovely ones in Kmart - I'll keep you updated on that! The only thing of note recently is one super hectic day the other weekend where I went to the next Harry Potter concert with Kiara and then my friend had an architecture ball so I went and got dressed up fancy with some of my closest friends. The second Harry Potter was just as good as the first and I'm always so captivated by the orchestra. This time we had prime viewing of the flute and piccolo which I loved.

We took pretty much took no photos at the ball which always happens with my friends and I will forever be annoyed about it. I didn't even take a decent selfie before we left to show you the makeup Kiara did so nicely for me! (I don't usually wear make up so this was kind of big deal) It was a super stressful afternoon though, because I had to do my own hair - and I succeeded! Obviously don't have a photo of it but maybe I'll try do a blog post tutorial on it?

I will readily admit to you, I got quite drunk that night - which besides the time we went out that I mentioned earlier was something I had never done before! It was a little strange, but I just wanted to take a second to talk to you all about drinking in a safe environment and with people you trust. These guys in this photo above (besides the second from the left, I met them for the first time that night) these are some of my closest friends and I completely trust them. Because of that, it makes me feel so much more at ease when I go out of my comfort zone like this and do things I definitely don't normally do (like getting drunk).
So I just wanted to say: if/when you drink, whether that be for the first time ever, or the first time going out, or even for the first time at a party, surround yourself with people you trust and who genuinely care about you. It's almost reassuring in a way to know that someone will always have your back and will be looking out for you. Anyway, drink responsibly, and have good friends is what I'm trying to say!
These guys probably don't even realise it, but I only feel comfortable to do it because of them. So thanks <3

Also, lighter side note: this is a dress from Dotti of all places which I have actually found online for you! You can buy it here and I wear a size 6 if you're looking for a starting point in sizes. I couldn't find my exact clutch, but I got it from Colette, and the shoes are these ones in rose gold.

Okay so that turned into a bit of a rant at the end there but I hope you enjoyed reading anyway! I'll just be doing more essays and more work so until next time!

Starting a new thing where I'll link (if I can) all the outfit details from my post at the bottom here.
Leather jacket: similar ones here and here.
Red shirt: here (I think I may have gotten mine from the petite section though)
Jeans: From H&M, but I got them last year so I can't find them anymore.
Boots: here
